This project was initiated in 2015 to support most marginalized tribal Katkaricommunity children. Mahatma Gandhi Niketan is a residential school for tribal children. The parents of these children work as construction workers. They have to migrate from one location to other location to earn their livelihood. The frequent migration creates an obstacle in the education of these children as they have to migrate with their families. So the children also lack the continuity and reduce interest in studies. The idea behind this residential study centre was to empower children with education and ensure their sustenance in studies by making a provision of residential facilities. Children have availed the benefits of this centre and UjjwalPrabodhini plans to extend these benefits to 500 tribal children and proposes financial support to extend the benefits to 500 children.
